About This Hike
An absolute classic of Kootenay National park. You will experience the remnants of a historical burn from 2003 and explore the impressive regrowth of Lodge Pole Pine. We make our way up towards the Stanley Glacier cirque. Dwarfed by the tremendous Stanley guard wall we slowly ascend above tree-line. From here we have options to hunt for fossils dated over 505 million years ago. This magnificent setting is a breathtaking look at a Rockies classic!
