About This Hike
The Lookout is a great trip, rewarding guests with spectacular views of the Columbia Valley and the mighty Purcell Mountains. This trip offers new hikers the opportunity to learn movement skills, explore the mountains in a safe backcountry environment and learn about the area and all that it has to offer. Along the gentle climb you’ll see wildflowers, incredible forest stands and glimpses of the previous mining history before reaching the lookout over the Columbia Valley. This half-day trip is perfect if you are short on time but still want to have an adventure!
