Playwest Signature Day Hikes
Our Signature Day Hikes will truly “disconnect” you from real world distractions and will allow you to “reconnect” with nature, your friends and family on a totally different level! These intermediate hikes take you deep into the Rocky Mountains to some of the most magnificent places around. Some of our destinations include Rocky Mountain Ridge Walks or views of Spectacular Glaciers from tens of thousands of millennia ago. Maybe you would like to find a high alpine lake to enjoy lunch and just take it all in. We have something for everyone, give us a call and we can plan the right trip for you!
What to bring
*Hiking boots or sturdy shoes. Early season hikes may be wet and could even have snow in shaded locations
*Small backpack (large enough to carry all the things)
*Water (Minimum 1.5 Litres)
*Lunches are included in all of our full day trips
*An extra warm layer. It can be cool up high in the mountains and its is nice to have a layer for when we stop for a break or lunch
*Camera, don’t forget this
*Hat/Toque (It can get cold in the alpine)
What we provide
*Transportation to and from the destination
(Groups must be in the same cohort or from
the same household)
*Lunch from Kootenay Coffee Works (Fresh made sandwich, homemade granola bar, apple, veggie sticks & dip)
Minimum of 2 guests required to book this trip. Single guests are subject to additional charges. This trip departs from the Kootenay Coffee Works in Invermere. If this trip is cancelled due to weather and or unsafe conditions by Playwest Mountain Experiences a full refund will be available.

From managing wildlife encounters to emergency situations, we have you covered. Hiring a guide also provides you with the wealth of knowledge and information of the surrounding area, wildlife, the abundant wildflowers and the regional history. Often times in the Columbia Valley, many of our trails are located deep in the mountains on various forest service roads; half the battle is just finding the trailhead! Our certified guides know where to go, taking the guess work out for you.
